Wayfarer

The Wayfarers you can put a prescription in

The Wayfarer is the frame that takes a prescription lens best: flat front, plenty of lens surface and a straight brow that does not distort when glazed. Here are the two versions we work with: the classic RB2140, which we glaze every day, and the folding RB4105.

The Folding Wayfarer RB4105 has a hinge in the bridge and one in each temple: it folds in half and turns from a full-size frame into a flat pack that fits anywhere. It keeps the straight brow, the trapezoidal front and the green G-15 lens, in two lens sizes, 50 and 54 mm, and nine seasonal finishes. The 54 suits wider faces; the 50 is better for medium and narrow ones.

Ray-Ban lists the folding model as an optical service frame, so it takes prescription lenses from the brand. It is the choice for anyone who wants the Wayfarer gesture all day, not just in the sun.

Both come with original spare parts: single lenses and temples, in case a knock leaves you without a piece. Fitted and adjusted at our optician in Alpedrete.

See every Wayfarer in the Ray-Ban Wayfarer collection and all nine pairs of the folding model in the RB4105 Folding Wayfarer page.
