Optical Expert Note: The Oakley Sutro Lite (OO9463) represents the natural evolution of cycling shield eyewear. By removing the bottom rim (semi-rimless design), weight is significantly reduced and the lower peripheral field of view is drastically expanded: exactly where you look when tucked over the handlebars tracking road surfaces, power meters, or the wheel in front without straining your neck.

Need optical prescription? Sutro Lite CAN be glazed in our workshop

Most optical shops claim panoramic sports shields cannot be glazed, or offer bulky internal plastic inserts that fog up on the first climb and rub against eyelashes.

In our independent laboratory at Centro Óptico Alpedrete, we glaze the Sutro Lite using high-precision Integrated Implants directly into the original shield:

Technical FAQ

Do Sutro Lite lenses fit standard Sutro frames?
No. Due to the semi-rimless design, lens curvature and locking notches differ from full-rim Sutro models. Always choose replacement lenses specifically designed for Sutro Lite.

How does the Unobtainium™ temple grip work?
The temples feature textured Unobtainium inserts that chemically increase grip with perspiration, preventing the frame from sliding forward during intense efforts.
