Junior RJ9086S

The kids' sunglass that no longer looks like a kids' sunglass

The RJ9086S is a rectangular injected frame: light plastic, one piece, no visible screws and a high bridge, which is what keeps it from sliding down a small face. It is the classic Ray-Ban shape taken down to the size of a seven to ten year old.

Two sizes, 46 and 48. The 46 is for the younger ones and the 48 for when the face has already grown. The difference is two millimetres of lens, so it is subtle, but it shows: under eight years old, start with the 46. If in doubt, send us a picture from the front with a card next to the face and we will tell you which one.

It can be prescribed. This is what almost nobody knows about a kids sunglasses frame: it takes prescription lenses, single vision or progressive, and we fit them in the shop with original Ray-Ban lenses or with lenses from our own lab. Many parents end up here because the child needs a prescription and they do not want two pairs.

And if it breaks or gets scratched. Injected frames take a beating, but they are not indestructible. If a lens gets scratched or a temple snaps, come into the shop: we adjust it, replace whatever is needed and, if the part has to come from the factory, we tell you the price and the lead time before ordering anything. Message us on WhatsApp with a photo and we will answer the same day.
