The RJ9086S is the Ray-Ban kids sunglasses frame: rectangular injected, high bridge and sizes 46 and 48. In Matte Black with a light green with a blue mirror lens. It is the only one in the model with a mirrored lens. See the whole model.

A kids frame that does not look like a kids frame. Injected in one single piece, no hinge to bend and no temple to unscrew: that is what actually survives the playground. Rectangular shape, high bridge and sizes 46 and 48. The colour is matte black, a tone that does not look dirty and goes with everything a child wears.

What it feels like on. So light the child forgets they are wearing it. The high bridge does its job and does not slide down a small nose, which is complaint number one with kids frames: they slip and end up at the bottom of the backpack. Injected material does not complain about daily knocks either.

The lens: light green with a blue mirror. Light green with a blue mirror on the outside, category 3. The mirror bounces light away and keeps the eyes hidden from looks, which with a child is half the sale: you see less of the face and more of the frame. Blocks 100 % of UV rays. It is the only version of the model with a mirrored lens; for something more discreet, the other four come with a plain lens.

There is a workshop behind the frame. We have been fitting and adjusting glasses in Alpedrete for over twenty years, with registered optometrists and our own workshop. When you buy here the frame leaves mounted and adjusted to the child face —temple, bridge, height— with free checks whenever needed.

Factory original, with papers. We are official Ray-Ban dealers. The frame arrives with its case and cloth and a two-year European warranty. The code 100S55 is printed inside the temple, the right lens carries the Ray-Ban logo and the left one the small printed RB: the three signs that it is genuine.

Can it be prescribed? Yes — and it is what we do best.

It is a full frame, so it takes any prescription: short sight, astigmatism, tired eyes. We fit original Ray-Ban lenses, the same the maker uses, or lenses from our own lab when the budget decides. With children almost always single vision; if they already wear progressive, that too.

Frequently asked questions

Which size do I need?
The 46 is for the younger ones and the 48 for when the face has already grown. If in doubt, send us a picture from the front with a card next to it and we will tell you which one. In the shop we fit and adjust it free of charge.

Can prescription lenses be fitted?
Yes. It is a full frame and takes single vision or progressive. We fit original Ray-Ban lenses or lenses from our own lab, with the logo on the right and the reference on the left. Many parents end up here because the child needs a prescription and they do not want two pairs.

Does it survive a seven year old?
Injected frames take a beating, but they are not indestructible. If a lens gets scratched or a temple snaps, come into the shop: we replace the part and, if it has to come from the factory, we tell you price and lead time before ordering anything.

Is the case included?
Yes, both original Ray-Ban items. If you want a rigid case for the backpack, tell us and we will show you what we have in the shop.

Is there a Marvel version of this model?
Yes, in dark red with the spider web on the lens and the Spider-Man mask on the temple, only in size 46: see the Marvel version.

How long if you do not have it?
We work with the Ray-Ban warehouse: usually about seven working days. We let you know when it arrives and adjust it before handing it over.

Shall we try it on the child in Alpedrete?

Come into the shop and we will adjust it in front of the mirror, under real light. And if you prefer to sort it out by message, we are on the other side.
