Oakley Fuel Cell OO9096 Replacement Lenses VR28 Black Iridium Polarized

Oakley Fuel Cell Replacement Lenses — VR28 Black Iridium Polarized (Ref. AOO9096LS-000022)

Whether your lenses suffered an accidental scratch or you simply wish to restore pristine optical clarity, this is the authentic factory replacement set. These are not third-party replicas or generic aftermarket polycarbonate lenses: they are genuine Oakley lenses cut with precision toric geometry engineered specifically for the wrap-around Fuel Cell (OO9096) frame.

A great feature of this frame: all Fuel Cell lenses are interchangeable across frame colors. Whatever lens came standard on your frame, you can easily install these VR28 Black Iridium Polarized lenses to refresh your style and performance without replacing your frame.

Optical Performance: VR28 Black Iridium Polarized

The VR28 Black Iridium Polarized lens is one of Oakley's most acclaimed technical optical formulations. Its VR28 contrast base tint sharpens depth perception through transitioning sun and shade, while the integrated HD Polarized filter eliminates 99% of blinding glare from flat reflective surfaces (water, snow, wet asphalt) without optical distortion.

Crafted from optical-grade Plutonite®, it blocks 100% of harmful ultraviolet radiation (UVA, UVB, and UVC) and meets strict ANSI Z87.1 safety standards for high-velocity and high-mass impact protection.

Easy Installation and Care Guide

Replacing Fuel Cell lenses at home takes only a few simple steps:

1. Firmly grip the bridge of the frame with one hand while resting the front face on a clean, soft cloth.
2. Place your thumbs against the inner surface of the lens and push steadily outward until the edge releases from the frame groove.
3. To insert the new lens, seat the outer temple edge into the bevel first, then gently press around the nasal corner until it firmly snaps into place.

Workshop tip: Always clean lenses with lukewarm running water and mild liquid soap, then dry with your microfiber cloth. Avoid paper towels and dry rubbing to preserve the coatings.
