The Aviator (RB3025) was born in 1937 for pilots flying straight into the sun: the metal frame had to be light, work under a helmet and cover a wide field of view. That is where the tear-drop shape comes from. This is the classic metal one, in Gunmetal with Yellow lenses. Reference RB3025 004/R6.

What you will like most

The shape. The wide brow and the drop-shaped lens cover the eyebrow and the cheekbone: the silhouette that best blocks side light without feeling like you are wearing a shield.

The weight. The front is thin polished metal, so the frame rests without digging in and you can wear it for hours.

The Yellow lenses

These are the factory lenses fitted to this model. They are single-tone sun lenses, made for everyday use and for driving in bright light.

Can I get it with prescription lenses? Yes — and it is our speciality

The Aviator RB3025 is a prescription-ready frame: the factory ships it with demo lenses for exactly that reason. At Centro Óptico Alpedrete we have been glazing prescription lenses into sunglasses for over twenty years, and this is one of the frames that takes it best: the metal front does not distort and the drop-shaped lens has plenty of room for your prescription.

What do you need? Just your prescription. With it we tell you whether we can fit your lenses straight away or whether it is better to order the frame without lenses and glaze it in our workshop. If your prescription is high, we will tell you clearly before you buy anything.

Lens types we fit: single vision, progressive and occupational, with anti-reflective, blue-light filter, and polarized or photochromic with your prescription.

And how much does it cost? It depends on your prescription and the treatment, not on the frame. We give you a fixed price before we start. And if you only came for the frame, we sell it without prescription too.

Timing. About 7 business days for the frame; glazing in the workshop usually adds 2 or 3 more.
