The complaints were consistent: standard sport sunglasses caused peripheral distortion, or internal prescription clips fogged up immediately during climbs and rubbed against their eyelashes. To solve this, we created our own custom solution: the **Continuous Shield with Integrated Prescription (CSIP)** system.

This technology integrates tailored optical prescription lenses directly embedded into the original continuous sun shield. We achieve 100% clear peripheral vision, zero fogging, and perfect sporting aesthetics. We do not use generic adapters; we craft custom-fitted sports eyewear.

Can my sports shield be fitted with prescription lenses?

Yes, and in two ways. On a one-piece shield the prescription is integrated into the shield itself, never in lenses glued on the outside: no clips rubbing against your eyelashes or vibrating, and no fishbowl effect when you look down. Which route you take depends on your frame and your prescription.

Official Oakley ShieldFusion route: the corrective lens is factory-laminated onto the inner face of the shield, as a single piece. Single vision only, and only up to ±3.00 D sphere plus cylinder; above that the factory rejects it. Available on the classic Sutro (OO9406), Sutro Lite (OO9463) and Sutro Lite Sweep (OO9465).
Our own workshop route (Shield Optics): covers everything the official route does not. More versions and colours, photochromic, custom mirrors and polarised, in single vision and also sports progressive (to read your GPS without straining your neck), from +6.00 to −7.00 D and cylinders up to −4.00 D. Works on almost any shield, including discontinued ones and other brands.
