Ray-Ban Aviator Max Gold / Green (RB3925 001/31)

The classic aviator, in a bigger size. The RB3925 Aviator Max is Ray-Ban's classic shape taken to its largest size: metal frame, double bridge, adjustable nose pads and crystal lenses. The silhouette is the same; what changes is how much space it takes. And in arista gold with a green crystal lens, it is the combination that never fails.

How it feels on. The metal is light and the nose pads sit without pinching, so half an hour in you forget you are wearing it. What you do notice is the real aviator presence: this frame does not go unnoticed. It is the difference between wearing sunglasses and wearing an aviator.

The lens: G-15 green crystal, category 3. This is the Ray-Ban lens of all time: green, crystal, category 3, made for full sun. It keeps colours where they belong — red stays red and green does not turn grey — and it rests your eyes on long drives. If you are coming from a cheap plastic lens, you will notice on day one.

Two sizes: 58 and 62. 58 is the standard aviator measurement and suits most faces. 62 is something else: for wider faces, a wider bridge, or for those who want the oversized frame you can see from across the street. If you are between the two, take the smaller one; if aviators have always felt small on you, 62 is your size. Measurements: bridge 16, temple 145, lens 58×50 in size 58 and 62×54 in size 62.

It can be prescribed. We fit prescription lenses into this frame without any problem: it is a full metal frame with enough thickness for any normal prescription. If you prefer the original sun lenses, we have those too. And if in time you need replacement lenses (from €11.52) or temples (from €15.57), we order them from the factory: we carry the full spare parts catalogue for this model.

What you get. The frame, its original Ray-Ban case, the cloth and a 2-year European warranty. All genuine, with the logo engraved on the right lens. If you order it with a prescription, we glaze it in our Alpedrete workshop and hand it over fitted.

Questions we get.

— Is it really that big? Yes. Calibre 62 is one of the largest aviators Ray-Ban makes; 58 is standard.

— Does it feel heavy? No. It is thin metal; the weight is in the presence, not on your nose.

— Can it take a prescription lens and stay thin? Yes, up to reasonably high prescriptions. If you have high myopia, message us and we will tell you what to expect before ordering.
