The BoyFriend (RB4147) is Ray-Ban's classic square: a wide brow, straight lines and a presence that fills the face without feeling heavy. In Light Havana, with brown polarized lenses, it is the frame for someone who wants character but can wear it all day. Standard category 3 lenses, sun lenses with a UV filter, factory fitted for this model. They are polarized, and you notice it above all behind the wheel and on the water: the glare off the road and the sea disappears.

Base 6 and full rim, the geometry Ray-Ban designed this frame around: the lens covers the field of view well without touching the face.

Every pair that leaves our shop goes through the workshop: we check that the temples close properly, that the frame is square and that the lenses are flawless. This is not a warehouse forwarding boxes: if something is not right, it does not go out.

Can I get it with prescription lenses? Yes — and it is our speciality

The BoyFriend RB4147 is a prescription-ready frame: the factory ships it with demo lenses for exactly that reason. At Centro Óptico Alpedrete we have been glazing prescription lenses into sunglasses for over twenty years, and this frame behaves very well.

What do you need? Just your prescription. With it we tell you whether we can fit your lenses straight away or whether it is better to order the frame without lenses and glaze it in our workshop. If your prescription is strong, we will tell you straight before you buy anything.

Lens types we fit into this frame: single vision, progressive and occupational. And the usual treatments: anti-reflective, blue filter and also polarized lenses with your prescription.

And how much does it cost? It depends on your prescription and the treatment, not on the frame. We give you a fixed price before we start, no surprises, and if you only wanted the frame we sell it on its own too: your call.

Timing. The frame takes about 7 business days; adding the glazing in the workshop usually adds 2 or 3 more. We let you know when it is ready.

You can do it from a distance too. If you cannot drop by, send us your prescription on WhatsApp or by email, with the pupillary distance, and we ship it glazed and adjusted.

And if what you want are replacement prescription lenses for this same frame, we make those as well: it is one of the things we are asked for most.

If you are unsure about the size or the colour, message us with a front-on photo: size 60 is a large frame and we would rather tell you beforehand than send you something that does not fit.
