What you get and what it is for

Factory lenses with the same cut and the same curve your RB4068 came with. You order them when the lens is scratched, pitted by sand or has lost its coating; also when you want to change the tint of your frame without buying another one. They come as a pair, with the Ray-Ban logo etched into the right lens and the RB print on the left.

The RB4068 is a big square: a 60 mm lens and only 43 mm of height. A scratched lens shows up badly there, because the glare sits right in front of your eye. Replacing them brings back the clarity of the first week.

Before you buy: check your code

The code is printed on the inside of the temple. This pair is code 642/57, which on the RB4068 is Brown Polarized on a Havana frame. If your frame is a different colour this is not your reference: find it in the lens list for the model or message us and we will tell you which one you need. As this is a factory order made for you, we cannot accept returns for the wrong reference.

Glazing: these lenses are not prescription — your frame can be

These are replacement sun lenses: they carry no prescription and cannot be glazed. They give your RB4068 back its original sun lens, with its exact colour and coating.

If what you need is to see through the frame, the route is different: we fit genuine Ray-Ban prescription lenses — single vision or progressive — to your prescription, with the logo etched in the right lens and the RB print on the left. It is done in our workshop in Alpedrete.

A detail that saves you money: if you are going to glaze the frame, do not buy this part. Once the prescription lens goes in, the sun tint is gone anyway.

What is included? The replacement lens pair. The frame and the temples are not included.

Are they prescription lenses? No: these are original sun lenses with no prescription. What we do offer is glazing the frame with your prescription in our workshop; this spare part restores the original sun lens, it is not a way to add a prescription. If you need your RB4068 glazed, message us and we will explain.

Do you fit them? Yes. Drop by our optician in Alpedrete and we fit them and adjust the frame free of charge.

How long do they take? Around 7 working days, as they are ordered from the factory.

How do I know it is my code? Check the number printed inside the temple: this reference is 642/57. The RB4068 is size 60 (60 mm lens, 17 mm bridge, 130 mm temple).

What if my code is not listed? Message us with a photo of the inside of the temple and we will tell you the reference you need before you buy.

Is there a real difference from a generic lens? Yes, mainly in the tint and the coating: the original lens keeps the exact colour of the frame.
